Information provided by Gianluca Caron, CEO of Parlanti USA.
We have just received a tip from a source that Samshield has recalled all of their helmets in France for failing to pass the safety inspection regulations.
Samshield is currently of the top sellers and manufacturers of equestrian riding helmets in the world. Worn by many of the world’s top riders, Samshield has been known for their style and durability in the show ring.
In the world of safety equipment, such as riding helmets, there are a certain set of criteria that all helmet manufactures must adhere to which include safety inspections. These inspections are done to ensure that the helmet effectively protects the rider should a collision or fall occur.
According to our source, Samshield has issued recalls on all Samshield Helmets due to failed safety inspections. Sources say that Samshield is currently aware of the situation regarding the failed inspections tests and are taking measures to remove them from the French market.
“We are sure that Samshield is doing what they can to fix the issue, however, we are now wondering if these recalls are soon to hit the rest of the world, including the United States market.” says our source.
As a helmet manufacturer, safety inspections are the #1 issue when it comes to their intended use. Since a helmet protects the riders head in a sport where the risk of collision or a fall is higher than most, these safety inspections are taken very seriously. As a simple fall can paralyze, handicap, or leave a rider fatally wounded, the proper safety measures should be taken in order to protect these riders.
This story will continue develop as more and more sources are reaching out to us.
